Hi, my name is Iyanna Gary, feel free to call me Yanna. I’m a Computer Graphics Technology (UX/UI) student at North Carolina State University, where I fuse design, strategy, and storytelling to craft immersive, human-centered experiences. My work spans brand identity, digital media, entrepreneurship, and project management. I’ve led creative initiatives in public relations, event curation, and media production bringing ideas to life through thoughtful planning, collaboration, and execution. I’m passionate about building community through design and amplifying underrepresented voices. My goal is to continue creating inclusive, impactful experiences that blend creativity, technology, and culture.
So, why "iarchitech"?
I’m not designing buildings, but the word architect still defines me. I create art (it’s right there in the word), I’m from Chi (where architects make history), and, fittingly, I break, build, and reshape structures in design and storytelling just to innovate similar to the ‘tech’ in the word :)
Creativity is at the core of everything I do. My background in visual design, music, and storytelling allows me to approach problem-solving with a unique, interdisciplinary perspective. I often draw inspiration from music, its rhythm, structure, and emotional depth influence how I design experiences that resonate. Whether I’m curating a brand, producing media, or managing a project, I approach each challenge with both artistic intuition and strategic intent. This blend of creativity and structure is what defines me as an “iarchitech”, someone who builds thoughtful, impactful experiences through art, culture, and technology.
Black Fusion is the embodiment of this creative philosophy and a reflection of my drive to be an artistic powerhouse. It’s more than just an organization, it’s a movement I founded to incubate student-run businesses, host immersive events, and empower youth through mentorship and entrepreneurship. Through Black Fusion, I channel my artistic and strategic talents into building a collaborative ecosystem where passion meets purpose. We cultivate innovation at every level, from dynamic community pop-ups to long-term business development. It’s my way of fusing creativity, culture, and community impact into one powerful platform that not only inspires but activates the next generation of change-makers.
